They are typically used for new builds and can be installed to replace existing upvc doors. They are usually operated by lifting the levers to throw all of the multipoint locks before turning the key to close / unlock. They are more secure when compared to lever handles for doors because the locking function can only be accessed by entering the door with a key unless the door is locked.
