French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This fridge is expensive, so I expected better.

This fridge is a great choice, despite the blip. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door fridges, and it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a French-door refrigerator at this price. It has a decent-sized icemaker in the left door. However, it's not the largest one I've seen.

The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive, too. Its LED lighting is a nice feature, and the in-door storage bins feature a third shelf that folds up beneath itself to make it possible to store large items. The drawers come with temperature controls so you can set them for Beverage, Meat, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their textured plastic coatings to be a little rough on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere in the globe. It also comes with many options for customization. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in a few other GE fridges that allow you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. The fridge displays a countdown timer to reveal how much water is left but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Created to appear like a seamless part of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher longer, and two compressors to ensure maximum food preservation. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This fridge is ideal for a single household or kitchenette that needs an elegant design and top of the highest quality food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never moving more than a fraction a degree--this is key in preventing freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the desired temperature for initial set within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our tests.

Bosch is known for its premium appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance, with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi as well as Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app lets you monitor and control your refrigerator remotely on your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is costly, but offers great features and functions at a reasonable cost.

It is crucial to be aware of the limitations of your fridge. You might need to be creative with tall items because the fridge is limited in shelf space. The shelves are not impervious to spills and could easily be damaged or stained by sharp items. The trays can be easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they must be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage in an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge has a standard French door design, and two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded down to make space for taller items. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker making it easy to move the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, for instance, sliding drawers that help better organize the position of items. It also has a large bin that can hold plenty of frozen food and a separate container for storing ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. It lets you manage the refrigerator's temperature as well as lighting from your smartphone. It's an easy way to keep track of your refrigerator and manage it, especially when not at home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than other refrigerators we tested. This is likely due to the bigger capacity.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. The handles that are sunken allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However, taller people still struggle to close them without slamming them. It would have been better if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good option for those looking to combine the benefits of a fridge with a french fridge freezer uk door with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model, and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also a little cheaper than the best french fridge freezer uk counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which can make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door refrigerator that won't cost a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking visually as some of the competition however it comes with enough features to make it a good option. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also has a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. This drawer lets you direct a portion of the fridge's cooling power to the area so that you can keep food items which need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling level for the whole fridge, though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to be more effective than specific ones.

In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ much from 38 degrees. This is a solid performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with a smart thermometer to get more precise measurements of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from gray-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
