iRobot Combo Review

Combo is irobot roomba self emptying's first mop-and-vacuum robot, and it's the company's best-looking. Its aluminum top piece brushed and iRobot logo are more elegant than the loud designs of rivals.

The iRobot Home application is used to guide and set up your robot. The app gathers usage data and maps of your home, which include furniture and obstacles. Maps and image data are only shared with iRobot in the event that you choose to opt-in.

It's a mop

The Combo irobot, a very smart mopping robot, has all the intelligence of the excellent Roomba J7+ and adds a water reservoir onboard and mopping pads and a robotic arm which can lift and lower the pad. It can accomplish many tasks in 111 minutes before running out of juice, and then automatically returning to its base station to recharge.

The combo model also features the iRobot home app, which means you can start and stop cleaning runs. It's also a stylish robot, with matte black plastic that doesn't show dust or fingerprints and a brushed aluminum top piece with the small iRobot logo.

It does a great job of vacuuming, with no problem traversing over large area rugs or transition strips between flooring surfaces. It is able to pick up fine dust that other robotic vacuums miss. It's not great in mowing. It's not able to eliminate dried milk stains, like unless you send it out at least four or five times.

irobot vacuum and mop combo's specialized Braava jet M6 mopping robot cleaner, which is often offered in a bundle with the j7 plus for less than the price of the combo Combo does a much better job in this and other tasks that are difficult. It can even remove ketchup and wine spills, however I wouldn't recommend it following any liquids that have a high amount of sugar.

It's a vacuum

It's one of the more attractive robot vacuums. The top part is smooth and doesn't show fingerprints or dust as easily as some of its competitors. Its tiny combo water tank and dustbin are easy to open and close however they're not the greatest in terms of capacity. The Combo J7+ comes with all the smarts that you'd expect from iRobot. This includes maps and obstacle avoidance maps that function reliably and quickly. However, it's the mopping arm that really makes this model stand out in its category. The mop pad is placed on the top of the robot vacuum. However, if it detects a surface that requires mopping the pad is dropped underneath and behind the robotic vacuum. This is a major improvement over other robot vacuums, which require you to remove mop pads from carpets or hard floors manually. You can also switch off the entire unit for mopping.

It's an electric charging station.

Place your Combo Irobot on the changing station and align the metal contacts on the base. The charging station is simple to set up and performs well. During my testing it took about a couple of minutes for the robot to begin charging and then make a sound when it was completed. After the Combo Irobot is fully charged, you can start mapping runs in the app to help it better understand your home. The app also lets you to mark certain objects as permanent avoidances, such as lamp cords. You can also connect Alexa or Google Assistant to your robot to allow voice commands for it to navigate around your home.

It's a smart device

Combo irobots rely on acoustic sensors and onboard cameras to determine the kind of floor they're intelligent Cleaning robot, as well the objects that are in your home.
